Cervical Swab Archiving

The Challenge

This laboratory receives 800 cervical swab samples for testing daily. After testing is completed, samples require recapping, differential storage based on collection type (self-collected vs. physician-collected), and LIS tracking for assigned storage positions. Staff must manually scan each sample into the LIS and place it into the corresponding position in the appropriate archive rack.
